The Amesbury Police Department will be participating in the 36th annual National Night Out on Tuesday August 6th. This year is the 24th consecutive year of participation in Amesbury.

The 2019 Amesbury Night Out is scheduled for Tuesday August 6th, with activities at the Amesbury High School, 5 Highland Street, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, rain or shine. Once again, the police department and public library will be working together to promote community relations and the summer reading program in Amesbury. The summer reading theme this year is “A Universe of Stories” and the staff of the children’s department is planning a number of games and activities.

Guests will be able to enjoy free refreshments, courtesy of Amesbury McDonalds, The Pizza Factory, Vermettes Market, Maplewood Rehab & Nursing and Gould Insurance, Seacoast Coca-Cola. The popular Car & Truck Show, featuring a variety of construction, public service, antiques cars & trucks, military, racing cars and emergency vehicles promises to be bigger and better than ever. We are excited to be hosting a motorcycle stunt team this year, with a number of exciting stunts and tricks performed live!

Returning to Amesbury National Night Out will be Northshore 104.9 FM! Your favorite Morning Show Host, Lindsey Robbins, will be on hand with a mix of classic and popular tunes from yesterday and today. We are also excited to have Boston Bruins alumni, Bob Sweeney, Ken Hodge Jr and two-time Stanley Cup Champion Don Marcotte, stopping by to say hello to hockey fans!
