The Art Show and Sale is part of Amesbury Days. Friday, June 23rd from 6:00 – 8:30 is the reception before the Saturday full-day event. This evening is focused on meeting the artists, the ACC silent auction (including AHS Chair-ity), live music by John Tavano, “mocktails” and hors d’oevres. We have special guest Mayor Gray greeting us and Gallery Owner Asia Scudder awarding prizes for best art. Don’t miss this special event!

Art Show & Sale @ Amesbury City Hall
The Amesbury Days Art Show & Sale on Saturday, June 24th will showcase more than 20 local artists with paintings, illustrations, woodworking, fiber art, and jewelry. We also have the New England Quilt Guild displaying their fine quilts and having a raffle to win a quilt. We have a line-up of local authors, poets, and historians giving short talks throughout the day. Outdoors, the Carriage Museum will run hands-on locomotion activities for all ages from 9am to noon. We also have a fabulous band: North Shore Junction for your entertainment. Finally, we have a large raffle with exhibiting artists’ donations and more chairs by the AHS Chair-ity fundraiser.

Whittier Home & Museum Open for Saturday Tours May 6th through October 28th – 11:00 to 4:00 Bring the family for a most enjoyable and educational tour of the Whittier Home & Museum! Learn how Whittier lived in this home with his mother, sister and aunt, writing editorials and poems, and even risking his life towards the cause of abolishing slavery before and during the Civil War. Whittier’s abolitionist views are especially relevant in this time of divisiveness in our country. Tours are $6 for Adults, $5 for Seniors and Students (ages 7 through 17), and children under 7 and Veterans are FREE! And $3 for MTA members, with ID card. The 15th annual Relay For Life of Amesbury is Saturday June 24th at Landry Memorial Stadium, 222 Main Street, Amesbury. The event is free and open to the public from 4:00 PM until 11:00 PM. and features games, raffles, activities, food and plenty of family fun. This year we are pleased to be joined by Rock Lobster Productions, who will be presenting live entertainment with Radio Station The Bull 101.7 FM, The Zolla Boys & Morgan Myles.
